Problems installing Mediaserver on a ARM board running Ubuntu 12.04 LTS

Hi,

I've got an ODROID-X running Ubuntu that I wanted to install the media server on, to run my Squeezebox Boom.
I've gone round and round... but eventually I got logitechmediaserver version 7.7.2 installed but it does not appear to startup.

I'm following the instructions found on the wiki here: http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/Debian_Package

does anyone have any suggestions which might help me?
