Hi;
I'm using a Mediasonic 6TB Raid Enclosure for my linux LMS server and I'm very happy about the whole setup.
However, I would like to write down simple instructions for a typical music lover, i.e. no command line and linux skills, and thought that giving instructions how to set up RAID5 enclosure is just to much.
I'm assuming the user will run Windows besides LMS.
Instead, I would like to recommend a simple, 2TB (or more), miror RAID NAS device. It should be inexpensive, simple as it gets (no LMS on it, as little custom firmware as possible) but Linux friendly, via Samba I assume.
In previous years there was a DLink enclosure for 2 drives, now it seems WD seems more popular. It should also be widely distributed.
Would you be able to point me to such a simple,no hassle NAS ?
Thanks;
