Some Playback Issues with SqueezeLite / LMS

Hi all,

maybe someone can help. I installed a LMS (release Logitech Media Server Version: 7.9.0 - 1463778102 @ Wed May 25) on a Debian Jessie.
Then I Donloaded Squeezlite (Release from Ralph :-) Thanks a lot....v1.8.4-720

I started with option "-o hw:CARD=D20,DEV=0

It works and plays all my FLAC files without any problems any bitrate up to 192kHZ are supported and correctly shown on my DAC.

So here comes my problems

1= DSD Files: I downloaded a few test files from nativedsd.com
In Detail:
DSD64_2ch64.dsf
DSD128_2ch128.dsf
DSD256_2ch256.dff

As I am quite new to DSD (Have never tried to play any files before I assumed that I can play this easily on my System but no it does not.

I did a bit of research and found that I have to activate DSDPlayer in LMS Settings. Ok I did and restarted. I then have a new option in the Player settings which I clicked:
Code:

Enable DSD-over-PCM  This player supports native playback of DSD files. DSD-over-PCM should be configured on the player configuration interface.
Ok then it must be something with Squeezelite. I opened the console and yes I see some errors there:

Quote:

[14:43:59.061584] alsa_open:528 unable to set hw params: Invalid argument
[14:44:04.062942] alsa_open:528 unable to set hw params: Invalid argument
[14:44:09.064437] alsa_open:528 unable to set hw params: Invalid argument
[14:44:14.065927] alsa_open:528 unable to set hw params: Invalid argument
So I did something wrong I guess but I am not sure where to start :-) Can you help

2) I have some wav files which I wanted to play but the player even does not start. Do I have to activate something to play WAV Files?
My Player on Windows (Foobar) plays it without problems

Thanks

Alex
