Hi,
im'using a number of different Squeezeboxes and Raspberrys around the house to stream music and radio synched among the players.
Occasionally i use as well an iPad for TV watching. Since the audio on the iPad is very poor, i used a bluetooth receiver
and a 2 channel A/B switch to switch between the squeezebox or the iPad as the source for my active speakers.
I would now like to use a rasperry 3 with bluetooth and wlan incorporated together with picoreplayer 2.06 in order to get rid
of the A/B switch and directly either stream the music/radio from the LMS or occassionally the TV sound via shareport-sync
to the attached speakers.
So far i got it almost working. But there are still 2 problems that I so far havent't found how to fix:
- when selecting the Raspi as Airplay destination from the iPhone, iPad, it will always pass on the Video as well as the sound to the Rasperry.
so i will get the sound via the speakers, but sadly won't see the video since that is passed on as well
- since all my players come on automatically synched, the video sound is mixed togehther over the stream from the LMS.
which means i will always have to stop the squeezebox playing on this raspberry first
Questions:
- can i use bluetooth on the piCoreplayer to receive the Audio from the iPad or iPhone instead of wlan. I guess
the Video is not passed on via bluetooth. If so, how would i need to set this up?
- Alternatively, is there a way to tweak shareport-sync when using it over wlan, such that it will not accept the video but only
the audio from the iPad, iPhone, and if so, how to go about it?
- Is there a way to stop the LMS streaming automatically when a connection to shareport-sync is established and the put it
back on when the sound via shareport-sync is stopped?
Any suggestion to fix these issues would be very much appreciated.
Regards Philipp
